Margaret was an university friend of Anne Cleary, and coming to Crookwell for a reunion in November she searched Facebook for local Information.
Trevene Mattox, President of Upper Lachlan Dame Mary Gilmore Society was thrilled to received a phone call from Margaret offering the donation of the book.
Margaret researched the internet for more information regarding the book and had several impressive offers from people to purchase it from her.
She said that she had promised the book as a donation and It was no for sale.
Trevene said, "We are so grateful to have this valuable donation which will eventually domicile in the Crookwell and Districts Historical Society archives".
Just the right place to be, not far from Mary's birth place at Roslyn.
