The players’ comfort may have been a little chilly, but it was good to get an eager crowd around at the oval given the chilly circumstances.
There were not a lot of errors throughout the game on the Devils’ behalf. The tries just kept rolling in, with the finishing score summary being 13 tries and seven conversions.
Three of the tries were scored by Jack Dawson, two tries from Simon Smith, Isaac Walker, Jake Hunter and Mitch McGeechan and the other tries came from Joe Cummins and Jayden Eddy.
Players’ player went to a three-way tie with Darnell Rowles, Simon Smith and Jack Dawson taking even points.
Winners of the 100 club drawn at the Services Club post game were: first prize, Nick Skelly; and second prize, Harvey Leonard.
Crookwell played the North Canberra Bears (sitting fourth on the ladder) last Saturday.
