Nineteen schools travelled to Veolia Arena to partake in activities such as netball, basketball, laser tag, pipes and drums, tennis, rugby, hockey and a PCYC obstacle course. 

Officers attached to the Hume LAC, Fire and Rescue and St John Ambulance staff also attended. 

Students from Goulburn and Mulwaree High School assisted the organisers for the management of the event. 

“This is the opportunity for the students to gain the experiences some of the activities they don’t really have from day to day,” lead organisor Allen Caldow said.

“Students from the outreaching schools, like Bigga and Binda don’t really have access to the pipes and drums and other more specifics activities like golf.”

This is the first year the expo has been organised undercover at the Veolia Arena, with the event previous held on Car Confoy Park in Eastgrove. Mr Caldow said the change in location worked well for the activities, and he was impressed with the facility. 

He thanked the Goulburn Mulwaree Council, Workers Club, Goulburn City Lions Club, Rotary and Signage One for sponsoring this year’s event.
