The Boxers Creek farmer has decided to auction one of his best border leicester studs to raise funds for Cancer Council NSW.
Mr Waters said the decision was fueled by his experience with cancer – his father-in-law died of cancer, and his mother-in-law is currently diagnosed with breast cancer.
Another farmer from Crookwell, Craig Croggan, will also be donating a ram on the day.
“It’s an outstanding ram, it has the best growth and eye muscle and best length,” Mr Waters said about the 15-month stud.
“We just thought we’d go to the Cancer Council in the goodness of our heart to donate something back for research for cancer. It feels good and it’s good for the community.
“The community always give us things so its good to give something back try to help people others that might be suffering.”
Viewing will begin at 12pm at Laggan Hotel and the sale will start at 2pm.
Landmark Goulburn will lead the auction.
All money raised will go towards the Cancer Council NSW and be added to the funds collected for Relay for Life.
