It’s been a varied and interesting start to Term 4 for all the Bigga Public School students.
Grandparents and Special Friends Day was celebrated on Thursday, November 2.
Many parents, grandparents, relatives and friends joining the students in the classroom for the afternoon.
The students sang, recited poems and read books, and then everyone joined in for a lovely afternoon tea.
On Friday, October 27, the children competed with students from schools at Binda, Laggan, Tambelin and Taralga at the Taralga Showground at their annual small schools sports competition, which began in the 1920s.
All the students were very successful in their events, winning many ribbons.
Bigga was the overall winning school on the day.
It was also the winner of the Track Events and Lucy Marshall was joint Senior Girl Champion.
Congratulations to all the students.
In Term 4, Bigga Public School has welcomed our Kindy Start student, Roy Nowlan every Monday for the day.
Roy has settled in extremely well to our school and we look forward to him starting Kindergarten in 2018.
On Tuesday, November 7, students travelled by bus to Laggan Public School to view the indigenous performance of “Garungatch and Mirringan”, and joined Laggan and Binda Schools for fun activities for the day.
