Following on from our Christmas in July with an exceptionally tasty morning tea and lunch served by Lisa, we travelled in August to Bowning.
Members are still talking about the size of the scones at the Rollonin Cafe.
We were very warmly welcomed by the staff and served a great morning tea.
After checking out the grounds and patting the animals, we continued on to the Mayfield Mews .
Again a typical country greeting by very friendly people, after looking at the gifts.
Some time was spent in the nursery section, unfortunately the Antique Centre was closed but looking through the windows looked to have some lovely things in there.
We then went on to Yass for lunch at the RSL some members decided to check the shops out finding a few bargains making all very happy .
Time was spent at the Nursery section of the Hardware store.
Colin had passed the comment that no-one had shopped much, but after a little while, the bottom of the bus was filled with plants.
September, we stayed home and had a fun day at the club once again served a tasty morning tea and lunch by Tahlia with help from Lisa.
Lots of laughter and giggles with the game organised by Sue.
Thank you Sue for making our day.
Amazing how much fun can be had by taking someone’s gift in exchange for yours, pays not to get attached too soon.
October we have just visited ‘Chinoiserie’ to see the magnificent peonies.
We were made very welcome by Dominic and Chris in their lovely garden.
We then visited Perennial Hill with delightful hosts Julie and Craig.
This garden, has I think, impressed everyone. Well worth another visit sometime in the future.
Lunch was at Mittagong RSL.
Leaving there we travelled to Bundanoon to the nursery called Bundanoon Bloomery.
Lots of gifts in the shop and a huge selection of plants out the back.
Needless to say, members has a great time buying plants.
My grateful thanks to the members for supplying morning tea which was enjoyed by all.
