Prell Street Closed
A permanently locked gate has been installed halfway along Prell Street to prevent vehicular access. Pedestrians may be able to use the road reserve if needed.

Temporary signage has also been erected, with permanent signage to be installed shortly to advise road users of the closure. The road has been closed to motor vehicles, following a community request due to safety concerns. Council’s Local Traffic Committee considered this request and recommended Council close the road.
Keeping Back to School Safe
With Gunning Public School enrollment now sitting in the 90’s, there is a need to be safe around the school on Yass Street, Gunning. While School Zone Warning Signs indicate when most school children will be entering and exiting the school, there is a wider time scale to be safe.
‘Paradise for Kids’ before and after school care operates from 7 to 9 am and 3 to 6 pm on school days along with Gunning and Yass bound high school students leaving by bus from this same section of Yass Street from 7.30 am and returning till 4.30 pm. Slow down around all schools.
