Sounds really simple but it is often hard to achieve.
The technique of mindfulness is very straightforward to learn and has many health outcomes.
Reduced worry, increased memory, less stress and emotional reactivity and increases in cognition and brain function are just some of the psychological outcomes you may achieve.
Physically, mindfulness has been demonstrated to increase the immune system, decrease inflammation, increase serotonin and melatonin (the happy and calming chemicals in our brains), decrease chronic pain and fibromyalgia and assist in managing irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue, insomnia, over-eating and lots more for some people.
On the first four Saturdays in March, I will be running the first four modules of an eight-week mindfulness program on a Saturday morning commencing at 10am and finishing at 11.30am.
The final four modules will run later in the year.
Numbers are limited to allow for an enhanced learning environment.
Cost for the four-week program is $200 paid when booking your place and includes all education material to take home.
Medicare and NDIS rebates may apply for eligible persons.
