Titled ‘My Legal and Personal Information’, the booklet allows users to keep their affairs in order. It was conceived following discussions about the need for patients, families and carers to have updated legal and financial details readily available.
Since its launch in late 2016, 400 booklets have been sold locally, travelling as far out as Tweed Heads, Braidwood, Yass, Sydney and Goulburn.
Ms Agostini attributed sales to Joyce Edwards who approached various local organisations, including enthusiasm from CHCCC members.
“It’s a really good resource to keep all information about the logistics in your life,” she said.
She said it does not replace a legal will, but instead is a helpful tool.
Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) chief executive Andrew Newton praised the CHCCC members for their hard work last week during the recent awards ceremony.
“I’m using the booklet myself to get a feel of how user friendly it is. The more I use it, the more I find out how complex day to day communications are now,” she said.
Amendments to the booklets will come into force soon, with strategies for managing and de-activating the various social media account to be added.
The chairperson said she welcomed suggestions from the community going forward.
