Working out at the Crookwell Scout Hall on Colyer Street, the venture began in 2014 following the departure of local fitness enthusiast Kellie Shepherd.
On May 14, the milestone was proudly reached.
“There was a big gap in health and well-being exercise classes in Crookwell. So three locals myself, Kim Rivera and Geraldine Johnson decided to build our previous experiences in sport and fitness and become qualified fitness instructors and personal trainers,” Ms Fenton said.
The three completed their relevant studies at the Australian Institute of Personal Training to ensure they could deliver the best services.
“The classes aim for well-being through fitness that’s fun. But don’t be fooled, participants do work hard but also at their own pace depending on their fitness level and experience,” she said.
“Over time the group has evolved socially also. After classes the ladies usually meet for coffee at one of the local coffee shops in town. It has been a great way for new comers to meet new people too.”
The group celebrated their milestone with a lunch, fun class and morning tea.
The group fitness classes run five times a week and all are welcome. Class times are; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30–10.30am and Tuesday evenings 5.30-6.30pm.
Class cost is $10 per session, or a weekly $20 fee for all classes.
