According to the Bureau of Meteorology, temperatures in the Crookwell region will plummet over the weekend.
Friday is predicted to drop to a minimum of 3 degrees, on Saturday 2 degrees and on Sunday -1 degrees.
Crookwell SES controller Nick Orchard has reminded residents of the importance of calling the 132 500 emergency storm and flood assistance line.
People should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Keep at least eight metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
- Obey road closer signs and the direction of emergency personal as they are there for your safety
SES crews will be out and about monitoring conditions over the weekend.
Examples of when to call the NSW SES to request assistance include:
- A large tree or branch has fallen and access if blocked,
- A tree is threatening to fall and cause structural damage,
- You have damage to your roof,
- Your roof is leaking,
- Your property is flooded, or
- Flooding is imminent
Road and weather conditions cans be monitored on https://www.livetraffic.com or the https://www.upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au Council web site.
Report fallen power lines to either Ausgrid (131 388), Endeavour Energy (131 003) or Essential Energy (132 080).
