Mayor Brian McCormack thanked the Veolia Mulwaree Trust for the funding boost.
“It is wonderful to see so many worthy projects benefit under round 1 of the 2018 grant and donation program, many of which would not be possible without this funding,” Cr McCormack said.
“The $45,082 grant to council will help fund the final piece of the puzzle in what has been a significant transformation of Clifton Park at Crookwell.
The Park now houses a skate park, outdoor gymnasium, upgraded cricket nets and pitch, as well as a children’s playground, which has resulted in a significant increase in usage.
“On behalf of the council and the community I would like to thank the Veolia Mulwaree Trust for their investment in our Shire,” Cr McCormack said.
The Veolia Mulwaree Trust manages and distributes funds to not-for-profit community groups and organisations for the benefit of the former Mulwaree Shire Council area, as well as its immediate surrounds.
Since 2005, the Veolia Mulwaree Trust has distributed around $10 million to more than 1000 community projects.
Applications for round 2 of the Veolia Mulwaree Trust’s 2018 grant and donation program will open on Monday, July 2.
