A crane on a truck was attempting to lift two cars that were on top of each other off the road.
It transpired that the two cars had rolled off the back of a truck and had damaged a stationary parked car.
Police at the scene said a truck carrying wrecked vehicles was travelling north along Sloane Street at about 2.30pm when two of the cars fell off the back.
Police said they would be speaking to the driver about not having a properly secured load, but at that stage had not issued an infringement notice.
They were mainly just relieved that no one had been injured. “We are just glad that no one was injured,” a police officer said.
“But there has been some damage to a stationary, parked car on the street.”
Goulburn Tilt Tray Service attended the scene to clear the vehicles which were on another company’s truck.
