The studio and gallery on Goulburn Street, Crookwell is expected to open this Friday.
The space will be an asset for local artists, providing a shared space to display their work and an opportunity to sell their art.
Margaret Wonson, local artist, has been working closely with the Crookwell and District Art Gallery throughout the planning of the project.
They have backed the gallery announcing their support with a sponsorship deal.
It is a place that will permanently open, rather than a specific art show, said Karen Harwood.
Mrs Wonson said the excitement over the space has been building. It was just three people two weeks ago and is now over 118, she said.
"It's wonderful to see the support that people of the community have given," she said.
Wall Candy is a not for profit organisation, and will be completely run by volunteers and artists.
It is also expected to double as an art education centre.
Supported by the Crookwell Uniting Church, local council and small businesses. "Wall Candy brings a wonderful opportunity for the creatives of the Crookwell District," said artist Lesley Gattrell.
All going to plan, the gallery will open 10am, Friday September 21, with a blessing by the minister of Crookwell Uniting Church, Daniel Mossfield.
The gallery will display original works from local artists including; paintings & drawings in all mediums, photography, sculpture, collage, pottery, fridge magnets, limited edition prints, cards, post cards, books, and unusual visual art.
It is just one of several businesses to open in Crookwell in the coming months others include a Seven-11 petrol station, bakery, medical practice, and IGA liquor.
