This vintage event is for female and male players 30 years of age and above.
It proves that squash is a game of skill and tactics and need not cause serious injuries.
Some players who entered were over 70 years of age and still going strong.
Entries were received from local players and others who travelled from Goulburn, Orange, Canberra, Wollongong, Sydney, Wagga, Batesmans Bay and Bega.
Thanks to the local players and other supporters including Vicki Kitchen, Adam Gay, Kathryn Nagle, Ben Zyla, Scott Harrison, James Hickey, for their support and assistance in this event.
Dinner on Saturday night was held at Crown Theatre Restaurant where everybody enjoyed a great meal.
The tournament catered for all grades, culminating in an exciting final in which the ACT’s Mick Bayley won Division One over runner-up Peter Porter from Goulburn.
As well as being competitive, the players and spectators had a wonderful weekend.
There were many sore bodies, and plenty of laughter all round. Hopefully players will return for the Xmas Doubles (fancy dress) Tournament in December and the Open Tournament in February next year, to which all spectators are very welcome.
