Grabine received $1.73 million for urgently needed upgrades to fire management systems and the installation of fire hydrants.
“Any upgrades or increased capabilities to the Grabine Park’s Fire Management Systems are welcomed by the NSW Rural Fire Service.
“The additional hydrants that have been installed will mean (amongst other things) it would be easier for our crews to potentially defend the Park, its guests, and its assets if required,” said Daniel Osborne, Rural Fire Services.
A spokesperson at the park said, “If a fire comes we'll take all the help we can get.
