Crookwell District Art Gallery will host the 26th Art On the Range exhibition from November 10 to November 11, featuring small to large works ranging from $150 an $850.
The exhibition includes the artwork of noted artist and educator Allan Baptist OAM.
Mr Baptist has featured in more than 35 shows in Australia, and his artwork is held in private collections in Canada, France, England, America.
His prizes include The Brendan Hartnett Award for Cultural Development awarded at the NSW State Local Government Cultural Awards.
The Director of the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery, Ms Gina Mobayed, will open the show on Friday, November 9.
“The Crookwell District Art Gallery has an excellent stable of local and regional artists who contribute an astounding array of art, sculpture, and photography,” said Ann Goodman.
The winner of the best artwork for the In a Country Garden award will receive a prize of $500.
There will also be prizes of $100 awarded for both the Unpackers Award and the People’s Choice Award.
There is entries from 63 artists, said Jeremy Goodman.
The artists are from Yass, Goulburn, Upper Lachlan, the south coast, and regional NSW, said Karen Harwood.
“There is a huge range of subjects and very special paintings and rustic iron sculptures,” Mrs Goodman said.
“This year the show will coincide with the Crookwell Garden Festival as the Gallery is keen to participate and contribute to the overall tourist experience in Crookwell.”
It is the premier art show in Crookwell, she added.
The exhibition will be held on the weekend November 10 and November 11 at the Crookwell District Art Gallery, in Memorial Hall and entry is $2.
All works will be available for sale.
The gallery’s little sister and collaborative art space Wall Candy will be open November 9 to November 11.
