Australia Day in Crookwell
Kick off the festivities in the Memorial Park with a barbeque breakfast starting at 8am.
There will be live music and games, and the presentations of the ULSC Australia Day awards.

Barefoot bowls at the RSL
Crookwell RSL has been gearing up for Australia Day long weekend to finish off January and the holiday season.
This Australia Day afternoon at the club there will be live music by Chalkie White, and barefoot bowls on the green from 2pm.
This is a family friendly day out.

Taralga Australia Day Rodeo and local awards
Over the years, a number of Taralga locals have hit the local ring to cut their spurs, and this year is no exception
On Friday, January 25 be entertained at the cattle dog trials, and stock dog challenge. There is three days of competition scheduled for the NSW State and Regional Dog Trials.
On Saturday, January 26 join in the Australia Day festivities and meet the Upper Lachlan Shire Australia Day ambassador, Lyndey Milan OAM and the winners of the ULSC Australia Day awards will be announced.
There is the gymkhana, junior rodeo, as well as the junior and novice barrel racing and yard dog trials.
Then start tapping those toes and get your dancing shoes on ready for a country music night with Wayne Ryder and his band.
On Sunday, January 27, join us for the heart thumping action of the senior rodeo championships.
Barbeque food, drinks and bar service Is available all weekend.
A variety of stalls and rides add to the exciting carnival atmosphere.

Bigga Quickshear
Quickshear events are becoming increasingly popular across regional Australia.
This Australia Day at the Bigga Golf Club watch as shearers vie for the fastest time, in a contest of both speed and skill.
Watch some lightening action and enjoy a meal, or a barbeque.
This event is family friendly, with competitions and a jumping castle.

Gunning Lions Market
Experience traditional country markets located in and around the historic courthouse, you’ll find homemade jams, honey, locally made arts and crafts, home made goods, children’s toys and books perfect for summer reading.
The Lions Club are providing a barbecue for breakfast and lunch offering bacon and egg rolls, sausage rolls or steak sandwiches.
Not only can you find some fabulous things at the markets, Gunning has a pub, cafes and shops and pioneering history that can be explored with the self-guided walk available from the Gunning Paper Shop.
