The track was penned by Nashville songwriter Vernon Rust, who has also collaborated with Keith Urban.
It is the second track that White has released that was written by his “good mate” Rust.
“When Vernon Rust pitches you a song, you are always in for at least three minutes of strong imagery,” White said.
“The first time I listened to this song there was an immediate connection.
“We all know that feeling of having the music up loud and belting out that classic hit at the top of your lungs.”
Star In Your Car captures freedom and escape, it’s all about becoming the track as everything else fades away.
“Becoming a star in your car, and singing at the top of your lungs.
“I’d love listeners to be vibing along to this song, hopefully in their own car listening to it on the radio.”
Klik Productions filmed the video clip, which stars White and a love interest and a couple of high-performance cars.
“There was a Mustang in the clip, late model and very schmick,” White said.
“When I got in to drive it, the owner lent across me and flicked it into sports mode and said ‘you’ll have some fun now’ and he wasn’t kidding.”
Star In Your Car is a shift in musical direction from White’s #1 Aria country album, My Song Isn’t Written Yet, which was released in 2018.
This album lent heavily on the more serious side of his song writing.
