It was a very proud moment for stud principal Mr Anderson and his daughter-in-law Kylie.
They have worked tirelessly to further develop the genetics of the stud, Scott Anderson said.
On the day, Ms Anderson said, "the ram is a result of Bob's dedication and passion for the sheep industry for the last seventy years.
"I've been listening and learning from Bob for the past fifteen years, and by combining his hands-on knowledge of the breed, implementing the science of genetics, and using market advice from agents, we are really starting to see some great results."
The stud has been harnessing a micron testing program with emphasis placed on selected wool types, Scott said.
Ninety-five Border Leicester sheep were exhibited at the show, and 488 other breeds.
