Of all of the children from the 16 schools in attendance who competed and placed, one fifth of them were Taralga students. While they were away, all 11 students managed to record new personal best times.
In an email to the Gazette, the Taralga Public School said it was "so proud" of the students and their achievements from their time at the competition.
Of the 11 who travelled to Wollondilly, three will continue to the Regional Cross Country competition, with another three in reserve. All six students placed in the top six of each of their respective age groups, with roughly 50 to 60 students taking part in each race.
The eight, nine, and 10-year-olds ran two kilometres in their cross country competitions, while the 11, 12, and 13-year-olds ran three kilometres.
In a kind gesture, the Taralga Public School also congratulated the Bigga Public School, who have two students traveling to the Regional Cross Country competition as well.
The Taralga Public School students who qualified for the regional competition are: Lilly Bell, Milly Cummins, Lulu Rumble, Taylah Sheridan, Hannah, and Josie Calleja.
