Mad Kelpie Playdate, is an acoustic group, with members from Gunning, Queanbeyan, Captains Flat and Burra. They formed two years ago.
In 2019, Cheroke Shuffle, a track from the band's debut album, was awarded Instrumental of the Year at the Australian Celtic Music Awards.
Their progressive music is played on small pipes, uilleann pipes, flute, guitar, and percussion and is influenced by bluegrass and pipe bands.
