One of the show's organisers, Jennifer Lamb said the Taralga Art Show exemplifies the vibrancy of community life in our region.
It is held over the June long weekend.
"Presented in the spacious Taralga Memorial Hall, the Art Show represents all aspects of visual arts - including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, woodworking and ceramics - made by artists from across the region and beyond," Ms Lamb said.
Entries are now being sought for the 2019 Taralga Art Show, which will be held on June 8-10.
Ms Lamb said all works entered must be for sale.
"One of the great features of the Art Show is that many works are sold; last year 20 per cent of over 300 entries were sold," she said.
- Further information and entry forms are available from taralgaartshow@gmail.com as well as the Taralga Art Show Facebook page or phone 4840 6101.
Entries close on May 31.
As well as the prospect of sales and a viewing audience of over a thousand people, there are three prizes associated with the show.
These are:
- the $200 People's Choice Award
- the $100 Hangers' Award, and
- the $100 Taralga Wildlife Park Award for the best artwork of an animal.
The show is organised through the Taralga and District Progress Association.
Major sponsors this year are Mark Bradbury Legal and the Upper Lachlan Shire Council.
The Taralga Art Show's official opening is a huge community event with over 200 people regularly enjoying it.
This year it will be from 6-8pm on Saturday June 8, but the show will also be open to the public from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9 and 10am-3pm on Monday June 10.
