Up and running for two years now, owner-operator and mechanic Josh Hewitt tells us that prior to starting this business he was working in the local area as a mobile plant mechanic.
"We continue to offer a mobile service, but now with the convenience of a large fully-licenced workshop," Josh explains.
Run as a family business by Josh and Casey Hewitt, the workshop also employs full-time mechanic Adam Kennedy and full-time first year apprentice Blake Haynes.
"Our mechanics are trained to work on all brands, makes and models of machinery," Josh says.
"We offer a range of services for all agricultural and plant machinery including servicing and maintenance for all lawn care equipment and chainsaws, motor bikes and farm utility vehicles, larger agricultural and earthmoving equipment as well as electrical and general repairs on all types of trailers. We also do a lot of welding repairs, fabrication work and hydraulic repairs.
"In our shop front we have a wide range of trailer accessories and parts, oils and greases, drawbar and implement pins, electrical accessories plus much more."
That range is growing too. "This year we are very proud to have become stockist for many great brands such as RYCO, Rapid Spray, Bare-Co, JAK Max and Goldacres. We are able to offer a wide range of genuine or aftermarket parts and accessories.
"We are especially excited to now be able to offer great quality hydraulic hose crimping with our RYCO RY16 hydraulic hose crimper recently purchased this year. We have an exclusive rang of agricultural hose and fittings, and will be growing our stock of these items to suit an even wider range of machinery."

Being a fairly newly-established local business Josh appreciatively says "The continued support from our local community over the past year has been great. It has given us the confidence to grow our business in many areas.
"I was born and bred in the Crookwell community, after completing my apprenticeship on the local council then moving to Singleton for a number of years continuing to work in the mechanical industry. While working away, I experienced a lot of different work environments such as mining, civil, railway and running a large industrial workshop.
"With the skills I have gained over this time I am proud to have the opportunity to serve Crookwell and the surrounding districts and to be able to support other local businesses and community events."
