The cause is one which is very close to event organiser Danica Lenane's heart, as she has worked in aged care for a number of years.
Just over a week ago, the Crookwell She Devils visited residents in Viewhaven Lodge and Sunset Lodge ahead of the fundraiser, which Lenane said was a fantastic experience for the residents.
"It was wonderful," she said.
"I think the girls didn't know what to expect at first ... for me, working in aged care, I see the people who don't get visitors that have to live in the facilities that we have, and I know how hard it is to get funding and how it works.
"I wanted to show [the team] that it's not just raising money ... and honest to God, the residents have not stopped talking about it ever since they went out there."
The cause is also personal for the players, a number of whom have relatives in aged care facilities, and Lenane said that it will likely prove strong motivation on the field.
"I definitely think it will [be meaningful]," she said.
"We've been together for five years, and I've been out there pretty much the whole time, so [the residents have] heard the stories of us losing every year in the semi-final.
"I definitely think it'll be a bit of an emotional day ... it'll be very special."
The She Devils do not have a specific fundraising goal in mind, and Lenane said that "we want to raise as much awareness as we can, that you can go and volunteer.
"Don't forget the people who are in these homes. We just want to help in any way we can."
The She Devils will take on the Bungendore Tigerettes this weekend, and the match between the long-time rivals is expected to be fiery.
Bungendore are currently at number four on the ladder and among the top contenders for this year's premiership, while the She Devils sit in second.
The She Devils will play from 11.55am on Saturday July 13 at Crookwell Memorial Oval. They will be followed by the Under 19s at 1.10pm and the Green Devils at 2.30pm.
