The pony club is part of Zone 27, which also includes Gunning, Taralga, Goulburn, Braidwood, Breadalbane, and Marulan.
Roughly once a month, these clubs gather for a Zone Rally day, which, according to pony club president Catherine Culley, is a "big day".
"They do cross country, showjumping, the Stockman's challenge, flagging, bending and barrel racing, the mechanical cow is usually [there], and they normally have a dressage as well," Culley said.
It is exciting for the kids, Culley said, because of the sheer breadth of activities in which they can participate. They also look forward to the social aspect, as many of the kids between clubs have formed strong friendships.
"They love going to zone rally days," she said.
"They might only get to one or two a year, but I guess they get to do all of those things as opposed to a normal rally day where they might only do jumping or dressage."
There are also paid instructors at the rally days, who often run several of the activities and help the kids improve their skills.
The stations which are not run by the instructors are then assigned to each of the various clubs in attendance.
"I think at the Marulan day Crookwell, Taralga and Gunning are running the Skill at Arms course," Culley said.
