The district woke up to around 8 centimetres of snow on Saturday morning with similar falls on Sunday. Snow was heaviest in Crookwell and Taralga.

At Crookwell, State Emergency Services (SES) southeastern zone on-call officer Allanah Mondon said there was a "festive air" about.
"People were throwing snowballs at each other on the soccer fields and near Paul's Cafe, someone built a snowman with a cap on it."
A spokesperson from the NSW Police said officers in the area were ensuring motorists drove to the conditions. There were no major incidents.
Police said a northbound truck on the Hume Highway rolled at 4am Saturday, some 5km south of the Federal Highway turnoff, south of Goulburn.
The male driver was not injured and traffic wasn't impeded. The vehicle rolled in the median area. A salvage operation ensued.
At 4.30am, a sedan careered off the Federal Highway into a ditch, 7km from Goulburn. The driver was not injured.
At 5.50am, the Oolong and Gunning Rural Fire Service attended a single vehicle accident on the Hume Highway at Oolong. A sedan ran into the median strip. The sole occupant was uninjured.
The cause of the accident was unknown although snow and ice were on the roads at the time of the crash, RFS operational officer, Southern Tablelands zone, Daniel Osborne said.
No roads were closed as a result of the snow dump.
Additional SES resources were on standby to cope with any jobs.
On Saturday, the Emergency Management Committee, comprising the SES, police, fire authorities, hospital representatives and the council met at Crookwell to refine emergency plans. But overall, the SES reported relatively few call-outs during the big chill.
