I am the very proud coach of this team of Dogs. From the bottom of the table to the ultimate premiers, we could not have achieved this feat had it not been for the support of this community. The crowd of rugby supporters from both towns involved was phenomenal, and I thank everyone for coming to cheer for their team. I would like to congratulate the Taralga Tigers for always being the formidable opponents that they are. On behalf of the team, I take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, and our club committee. We acknowledge their commitment throughout the year, just so we are able to develop our team and achieve what we did.
We also appreciate the wonderful coverage that the Crookwell Gazette has given us. The Gazette team recorded the journey as we crept upwards on the competition ladder and people began to really believe that we could achieve our potential.
The team will see you on the sidelines next season!
Bruce Nixon, coach of the Crookwell Dogs' Rugby
Cheers to Top Pub
On behalf of the members of the Crookwell Community Men's Shed I wish to acknowledge the generous donation from the management and supporters at the Crookwell Hotel 'Top Pub'. This $1000 will greatly assist our activities at the Shed as one of our objectives is the care and welfare of the elderly men in the community.

ULSC naming policy
I noted that the City of Sydney 2018 naming criteria (Pause on naming Upper Lachlan's public infrastructure, Crookwell Gazette - crookwellgazette.com.au, August 26) was referenced in an article on the intent to name a footbridge. I would have thought that the naming criteria would need to comply with the Geographical Names Board criteria as this is the responsible authority across Australia?
