Major road works to repair or replace bridges in the Upper Lachlan Shire have begun, but there is still a concern for animal welfare and mental well-being in the community.

On Friday, September 13 representatives from government agencies will be at the Bigga Golf Club to give information to those affected by the bridge load limits.
In attendance will be representatives from the Department of Primary Industries (DPI), Local Land Services, Rural Financial Counselling Service and the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program.
Ted O'Kane, provides engagement and industry assistance with the Rural Resilience Program - a part of DPI's support services.
The program helps people to access services, Mr O'Kane said. He will also provide information on group workshops to help people to deal with stressful situations.
Support workers will be at the Bigga Golf Club on Friday, September 13 from 6pm.
