Nominations for the 2020 Upper Lachlan Shire Australia Day Awards are now open.
The awards are an opportunity to recognise exceptional examples of citizenship and achievement within the area, Upper Lachlan Shire Council's general manager John Bell said.
"The Upper Lachlan Shire has a wonderful sense of community," Mr Bell said.
"The local Australia Day Awards are an opportunity to honour our unsung heroes."
Residents can nominate for the citizen of the year aged over 18-years and young citizen aged under 18-years citizen, or for sportsperson and young sportsperson of the year, and for the event of the year.
Nominations close on October 25 at 4pm.
