Hold onto your hats at Yass Rodeo

Catch top competitors from the Australian Bushmen's Campdraft and Rodeo Association at Yass Rodeo. This will be a full rodeo including bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback horse riding, barrel racing and calf roping using the best bulls and horses from across Australia and announced by Professional Bull Riders' Larry Cann. There will also be free parking and entertainment for the whole family including free face painting and an animal exhibition, a mechanical bull, bar, food trucks and clothing stalls.

Mandolin Orchestra at the Hume Conservatorium

The music brought to Australia by more than four million immigrants between 1945 and 1985 will be showcased in a concert by the Canberra Mandolin Orchestra at the Hume Conservatorium. In the final concert in the 2019 'Homegrown' series, the massed mandolins, mandolas, mandocello, guitars and bass will play folk, popular and light classical music from Britain, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Germany, Russia, Spain, South America and beyond. The Canberra Mandolin Orchestra was formed in 2003.
Southern Lights variety show

Dapto choir the Southern Lights Vocal Academy is returning to Crookwell for a variety show performance this October. The choir last performed in the area in July 2016 bringing "arts to the country". At the Southern Lights variety show, artists will perform as part of a champagne supper.
