A Sydney man was airlifted to hospital after suffering a serious arm injury on Sunday morning. Police said the 45-year-old was maintaining a skeet shooting machine, used in clay pigeon shooting, on a Bigga district property when its throwing arm suddenly released at about 10.50am. It struck one of the man's lower arms, causing a major laceration. He was still conscious but the laceration involved muscles and tendons.
