"To those attending the Youth Day, a decision has been made to reschedule due to ongoing bushfire recovery efforts by Youth Providers involved," Gavis Douglas, organiser of the event, said.
"The event is about linking young people with service providers in that area but due to their involvement in the bushfires recovery efforts, it is difficult to gain access to them at the moment.
"We don't have a high school here, so youths from Collector travel to areas like Yass and Goulburn to study."
The event was initially planned for January 24 but will now be held on March 14.
Activities planned on the day of the event included a free sausage sizzle lunch with drinks, face painting, temporary tattoos, games, info stalls and a jumping castle.
Recently, due to the bushfires, several events have been cancelled by the organisers.
For the first time in 14 years, Tallong Apple Day, was cancelled. The event is usually held on the first weekend in May and is attended by thousands of people.
Meanwhile, Marulan decided to cancel their Australia Day event this year due to their dependence on RFS volunteers to assist with setup for their event, as well as potential fire concerns.
Even Tarago Show has been cancelled due to concerns around continuing smoky conditions.
