"Crookwell dam's water storage level has reached 80 per cent," Upper Lachlan Shire's director of infrastructure Mursaleen Shah said.

"Water has yet to be pumped from creeks and reservoirs into the water supply dams in Taralga and Gunning, but the volume of water to be pumped warrants lifting restrictions."

Areas such as Roslyn, Crookwell and Laggan received more than 120 millimetres since the beginning of February.

A Taralga resident recorded a staggering 328 millimetres.

The restrictions were lifted at midnight on Thursday, February 20.

Under the restrictions, the use of hoses and sprinklers was limited.

People were unable to top-up or fill their swimming pools or wash cars by hose.

Stock could also not be watered from the town water supply.
