Excitement for the event runs high every year and this year looks to be no different, with plenty of entertainment in store on and off the race track.
Gates to Funny Hill Race Course open on Saturday, March 14 at 10am for a 12.30pm race start.
The six races to follow are:
- Race 1 - Funny Hill Picnic Cup (1400 metres) - $10,000 first prize
- Race 2 - Trophy Handicap (1000 metres) - $5000 first prize
- Race 3 - Class Three Trophy Handicap (1300 metres) - $4000 first prize
- Race 4 - Class Two Trophy Handicap (1100 metres) - $4000 first prize
- Race 5 - Maiden Plate (1000 metres) - $3500 first prize
- Race 6 - Maiden Plate (1300 metres) - $3500 first prize

Another highlight of the races, which have been running since 1848, is the Fashions on the Fields, with official 'fashion spotters' searching the field on the day for stylish men, women, girls and boys.
Awards this year will go to Best Dressed Lady, Lass and Couple, so be sure to frock up!
The event is BYO and there is no bar, so be sure to fill your eskies. However, organisers are asking everyone to bring as little glass as possible to help with the clean-up.
Crookwell Public School will return this year with its barbecue and salad rolls.
There will be a late bus to Crookwell heading off at about 6pm for anyone who wants to leave their car at Funny Hill. Parking is free.
Entry is $30, while under 16s go for free.
