The Crookwell 200 Committee is asking the community to help with the search by nominating who they think are Living Legends: people who contribute to the well-being of the district.
Those include individuals living in Crookwell, Grabben Gullen, Binda and Laggan and their surrounding areas.
"At the heart of every community there are people committed to achieving great outcomes for the district and Crookwell is no exception," the committee says in the nomination form.
"Here is our chance to recognise them, the proven leaders and the quiet achievers."
Once the community has nominated its Living Legends, the Crookwell 200 Committee will generate a short-list for each category.
The categories include sport, sheep farming, cattle farming, cropping (including potato farming), community service, education, healthcare, business, arts and culture.

The community will then vote for their Living Legends from the short-list in each category.
The Living Legends will be announced at the Crookwell 200 Dinner on October 10 at the Crookwell Services Club.
Nominations close on April 30 and the shortlists will be announced on June 1.
