The Upper Lachlan Shire Council was awarded $215,585 to trial projects including cafes, safer roads, and street art. The NSW Government's $15 million program will fund street improvements during COVID-19 that could lead to more permanent changes.

The council was awarded 215,585 for projects in Crookwell, Taralga and Laggan.
In Crookwell, improvements include planter boxes, street furniture, an art installation, a pop-up park, or parklet, it also includes areas for cycling and pedestrians.
A temporary cafe will be constructed in the car parking space outside the Laggan Hotel.
In Taralga, line-markings and islands will be placed at the southern and northern entrances, in addition to street art and potted trees.
Funding for the state-wide program will be shared across 27 regional councils and 14 councils in Greater Sydney.
