The garden is often described as one of Edna Walling's finest garden designs, begun in the 1920s, the country garden was redesigned between 1947-49 by Ms Walling.
The garden will open on Saturday and Sunday on the weekend of October 17 and 18, and October 24 and 25. The garden will open for two sessions each day, the first from 10am-12pm, and 1pm-3pm. Tickets will be $5 and must be pre-booked, for more information visit: markdale.com.
In 2017, the property was sold by the Ashton family who had owned the property since the early 1920s. It is now available for farmstay accommodation and events and wedding venue.
The garden was recently opened for the Crookwell Garden Festival in 2018 which attracted more than 1500 visitors to the region.
