This is great news for Taralga and a significant step in restoring the town's water supply, but I hasten to add that there are still several steps ahead.
The next step will be to connect and test the plant over the next couple of weeks.
Once that process has been completed, Taralga's water supply will again be drawn from the town's water supply dam and level three restrictions will drop back to level one.

The following step will be securing a new dam site and building a new dam. We are in negotiations in that space now.
So the arrival of the new Water Treatment Plant is an important and necessary step, and signals that the council won't need to cart water any longer, but it's still early days in restoring Taralga's water supply to normalcy.
Council is pulling out all stops to expedite this process but for the people of Taralga who are experiencing this, it's been a long, frustrating and difficult process to endure.
As I've said many times, thanks again to the township of Taralga for your ongoing patience and resilience.
We are now one step closer and working hard towards a full restoration of water services.
