What started out with some light rain, slowly turned into a bright and sunny weekend for locals and tourists alike.
Bungonia and District Historical Society secretary Anne Wiggan said the weekend went really well.
"It was absolutely wonderful, everyone said the village looked beautiful," she said.
Ms Wiggin led around 35 tours through Bungonia's historical buildings, including Australia's oldest Roman Catholic Church.
"Tours were meant to run from 2pm to 4pm but ended up starting at 1pm and finishing at 5pm," Ms Wiggan said.
"I was exhausted but people were just so interested."
The weekend attracted many people to the village who had never visited before, particularly those interested in family history.
One of the most significant events, which took place on May 1, was the unveiling of two plaques listing the names of 200 people whose burial sites were unmarked.
Five religious representatives attended the unveiling including Daniel Mossfield of Uniting Church Crookwell, envoy Christine Jameson from the Salvation Army Crookwell, Father Joshy Kurien and retired Father Dermid McDermott of Mary Queen of Apostles Parish Goulburn and Venerable Paul Davey Rector of St Nicholas Anglican Church Goulburn.
Moira McGinity and late Ann Smith completed the extensive research for the plaques, Ms Smith was represented by her daughter Julie Young for the unveiling.
The markets, morning and afternoon teas, bush dance and film screening were also well attended.
"Saturday night was lots of fun with everyone dancing," Ms Wiggan said.
"And on the Sunday, the Bungonia Cafe did the biggest breakfast they've ever done."
Ms Wiggan said she was thankful for all the volunteers who put in many hours of work for the weekend.
She offered a special thanks to Gitta for arranging the markets and contacting Tony Rodwell of Mountain Dew Band who generously played and sang, busking during the markets.
The Veteran and Vintage Car Club of Goulburn were also thanked for their exhibition.
