THE Crookwell Bowling Club traveled to Ettalong for the finals recently, starting with an opening ceremony where each zone was led out on the green with music from bagpipes to have the official start to the event.

The first game Crookwell played Zone 15 Davistown RSL.
Crookwell started off well before Davistown came up to have a one shot lead on the big board with two ends to go. Craig’s team picked up two shots and Steve’s team picking up one shot to win 55-53 on the big board.
Overall, Craig’s team lost 18-21, Steve’s team lost 15-20 and Ken’s team won 22-12.
Crookwell played Zone 8 Barmedman in their second game.
Crookwell started this game well but Barmedman came back to win 64-51 with Craig’s team winning 24-19, Steve’s team lost 9-27 and Ken’s team having a draw 18 all.
The third game on Sunday Crookwell played Zone 4 Dubbo City. Craig’s team lost 10-21, Steve’s team won 21-20 and Ken’s team won 24-13 which meant that Crookwell won 55-54. Barmedman won this section with three wins.
Congratulations to Tomakin who beat Barmedman in the semi final and Cabra Vale in the finals to win the Grade 4 State Finals on the weekend.
