TARALGA hosted the Southern NSW Team Sorting Finals, where the top 50 open riders competed for a Saddle sponsored by Heath Harris, Hawkesbury River Saddle Company. The winner, Phil Syphers, Thirlmere sorted a total of 85 head, closely followed by runner’s up, Alana Chamberlain and Dale Polsen from the Yass district, who both sorted 80 head each.

The 2014 High Point Score Buckle was won by Robert Laurie, Braidwood, closely followed by Alana Chamberlain, Yass and Bruce Reid, Boorowa.
The Junior High Point Score Buckle was won by Jack Derwent, Taralga and the runner up was Jamie Derwent, Taralga. Most cattle sorted for the Junior Finals was a repeat of the High Point Score with the winner being Jack Derwent sorting 56 head, and runner up Jamie Derwent with 49 head.
Prizes were sponsored by Dutaillis Saddlery (Goulburn), Pete’s Whips (Goulburn) and JD’s Hardware and Rural Supplies (Crookwell). Quality cattle were supplied by Russ and Lorraine Derwent, Adam and Kim Derwent, Frank and Daniel Walsh.
The St John’s Ambulance Society received $2,500 which was raised over the weekend.
