Have your say in the future of our Shire. This is a chance for you to reinvigorate politics as it affects you.
To date Liberal Member Pru Goward, Labor Candidate Ursula Stephens, Greens Candidate Iain Fyfe and Independent Candidate Wal Ashton and Christian Democrat Candidate Adrian Van Der Byl will be attending.
Forum organisers believe we should have this opportunity to get our shire views across to the Candidates, so that they can better represent us, rather than be unduly influenced by their party hierarchies.
Candidates will also state their positions and answer attendees questions.
Issues may include but not be limited to:
Shire amalgamation
More jobs for school leavers and adults
Rail trail and general tourism
Commercial scale renewable energy production in our shire
Questions from the floor will be important to the success of the forum.
accordingly the program has been planned to allow ample time for these questions, without any particular subject being allowed to dominate the evening.
It is anticipated that the evening will also bring to the forefront issues that will need to be addressed locally.
This important meeting will enable residents to discuss aspects of their vision for the future of our unique area.
For some pre-forum socialising, the Services Club will put on dinner at 6.00pm. There is a choice of roast chicken or roast beef, $17 head. Desserts will also be available. Bookings are required for dinner. To book please phone the Crookwell Services Club by Friday March 6 on 4832 1265. Contributed.
