Darcie won first prize overall in the Kindergarten/Year 1 category in the Crookwell CWA Day branch competition in July, competing with entries from other local schools.
Her entry was then submitted to the Southern Tablelands Group competition with winning entries from other branches, including Goulburn, Yass, Tarago, Majors Creek, Queanbeyan, Bungendore, Braidwood, Taralga, Marulan and Collector.
Crookwell CWA International Officer, Ros Robinson remarked, “Darcie’s entry really stood out and we were so excited when the final results came through! We were delighted to present Darcie with her award and a gift from Crookwell CWA Day Branch at a Crookwell Public School assembly in October”.
Mrs Robinson added, “Next year’s Country of Study will be Mongolia, which should be fascinating! The poster competition is open to all primary age students from Crookwell, Laggan, Binda and Bigga schools. More details will be available in Term 1 next year.”
