Crookwell Pony Club hosted the event on Sunday, August 13.
These horse events are growing from strength to strength.
Riders travelled from right around the region – Marulan, Taralga, Breadalbane, Gunning, Braidwood, Collector and Goulburn – to take part in the rally day.
Zone rally days give riders the opportunity to experience a variety of horse-related activities.
Those activities can include the Stockman’s Challenge, dressage, cross country, jumping, show riding and sporting.
The Crookwell Showground was a fantastic venue.
It gave the riders ample space to complete these riding activities and the weather was superb.
Previously, the zone rally day has been held in Goulburn.
Now, the Crookwell Pony Club is hoping this might be an annual event at the Crookwell Showground.
Crookwell Pony Club held a barbecue and lunch was provided to all participants.
It was a great opportunity for these small clubs in the zone to combine resources and expertise for the day.
Children can also ride with other children from the district and build strong friendships with something in common, their horses.
