We asked about common topics published in the Gazette and if our readers were happy with the coverage.
From 32 responses we discovered;
- 59 per cent require about the same amount of local government/council decisions and activities; 9pc said ‘less, please’; and 31pc, ‘more, please’
- 44pc want about the same amount of stories on state or federal policies including health, education and transport; 22pc said ‘more please’ and 32pc, ‘less, please’
- 47pc want more stories about the weather; 16pc said ‘less’ and 38pc said ‘about the same’
- 59pc want more stories about crime, court and police news; 34pc, ‘about the same’ and 6pc said ‘less, please’
- 75pc said they want more stories about community groups, clubs and school news; 22pc said ‘about the same’ and 3pc said ‘less’
- 69pc said they want more stories about what is on locally or nearby, such as plays, concerts, poetry, comedy, films and exhibitions; 31pc said they’d be happy with the ‘same amount’ and no one said ‘less’
- 66pc want more local history and anniversaries; 34pc said ‘about the same’ and no one said ‘less’
- 63pc want to read about the same amount of stories about surrounding towns such as Goulburn, Taralga, Gunning and Marulan; 25pc said more please, and 13pc, less.
