The young achievers were among others in the district officially presented with scholarships recently in Goulburn.
The foundation is one of a collective of 43 fundraising committees nationally: the Country Education Foundation of Australia.
Kate Jansen of Crookwell will study at the University of Wollongong a Bachelor of Social Science (psychology).
Clare Offley, also of Crookwell, will study at the University of Canberra a Bachelor of Nursing and Aaron Needham of Crookwell will study at the Australian National University a Bachelor of Engineering.
Goulburn District Education Foundation’s chair Guy Milson said it is important kids get support.
“It’s a big issue for country kids going to university, technical college or job related opportunities away from home, there’s a lack of support, and it’s one thing we want to give them,” Mr Milson said.
“The GDEF is behind them, and the Country Education Foundation is behind them. “There is a whole raft of support.”
