A grant of $7975 from the NSW-ACT Save Sight and Health Care Foundation has helped with funding to purchase a motorised helipad retrieval trolley and accessories for use at the Goulburn Base Hospital.

The total raised was $17,975, which was presented to the Goulburn Health Services general manager Denis Thomas by members of combined Crookwell, Taralga, Braidwood and Goulburn City Lions Clubs recently. Hospital staff have had to manually wheel patients from the hospital and to and from the helipad situated at the rear of the hospital.
“This retrieval trolley will greatly assist staff when conveying patients to and from the helipad, which has become a daily exercise,” Mr Thomas said.
