The start of 2017 began with a sad farewell to Alison Davies, who unfortunately has had to move on, due to other commitments.

Mrs Davies has worked at our school for many years and Bigga Public School would like to publicly thank her for all her hard work and dedication over that time. Wendy Lyons will join the staff and take over from Mrs Davies for this year.
The Small Schools Swimming Carnival was held on Thursday, February 9 with Taralga, Laggan and Binda.
We enjoyed good weather and had a successful day with Lucy Marshall, Makayla Clements and Poppy McGuiness qualifying in events to compete at the next level at the District Crookwell/Goulburn PSSA Swimming Goulburn held at the Goulburn pool.
Swimming lessons were held in week four of this term with the students travelling by bus for the week, participating in two lessons each day.
Thank you to Max Corby, who has been our Bus Driver for the last 12 months, driving us to swimming lessons and various excursions throughout the year. Unfortunately, Mr Corby has other commitments and will no longer be in this role.
Our soccer program, which is combined with Laggan and Binda schools, has commenced. Angelo, who travels from Canberra, runs a session once every week. He will also coach the other two schools as part of the program.
On Tuesday, April 4 our students and pre-schoolers all looked amazing in their very colourful, clever designed bonnets and enjoyed parading for their parents, grandparents and community members who attended the afternoon activities.
The children also had fun hunting for Easter eggs around the playground and joined the adults for afternoon tea.
On Tuesday, May 16 there will be a Soccer Gala Day in Crookwell with the three schools competing.
The Small Schools Athletics Carnival was held in Crookwell on Monday, March 27 with Taralga, Laggan, Binda and Bigga Schools competing.
