June 20 was International Refugee Day. Myanmar has over 1 million internally displaced persons plus nearly 500,000 refugees, victims of violence and natural disasters.

PATIENCE and persistence have had their rewards in Gunning. After nearly ten years of promoting the idea, the creation of a ‘dump point’ for tourists in caravans or motor homes has lead to Gunning being the first accredited RV Friendly Town in the shire. Gunning is an important gateway to the shire.
